Light Painting.
Light Painting is a technique used normally at night or in a very dark places in light painting photographers usually experiment with all different lighting elements during a single long exposure. The exposure can go on for up to 5 seconds to seven hours lighting can be used indirectly or directly using mobile phones, light up toys, torches or just anything that emits light. You can use any camera that has the ability to use longer shutter speeds lots of photographers use digital SLR with a tripod to keep the camera as still as possible.

John was interested in black and whites records of colour while a image was separated he used to draw paint or scratch black and white record before reassembling colour. He would make colours by using black crayon or paint which was very intense and time consuming taking him 3-6 months an image. He said he felt graphic instead of photographic.John uses colour filters in his work where he will separate one colour from entering the camera whilst he is light painting. He uses his house garden and family to use as part of his work.

We had to make the composition quite central because on one side we had a white wall which was making the photo brighter but we tried to keep it central so that we didn't get the group on the other side. The settings for most of the images were F4 with 10 seconds of time but a couple of the images were F4 with 8 seconds.
